Walt Disney World Resort is set to unveil its newest attraction today, “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.” This highly anticipated ride, located in the Magic Kingdom, invites guests to dive into the enchanting world of Princess Tiana from Disney’s beloved film, “The Princess and the Frog.”

Set a year after the events of the movie, “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” offers a continuation of Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen’s story. The attraction gives visitors a unique opportunity to see how Tiana and Naveen’s lives have evolved as they embark on a new adventure that combines the spirit of New Orleans with the magic of Disney.

Guests will be treated to a musical journey that crescendos with a vibrant celebration featuring Tiana’s friends and family. The ride is designed to reflect the rich culture and lively atmosphere of New Orleans, complete with bayou-themed scenery and an original score that captures the essence of the region.

Visitors to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be enchanted not only by the mesmerizing scenery but also by the 48 innovative Audio-Animatronics figures of characters from the film. Additionally, 19 new musical critters will captivate guests, including an otter named Timloléon, a rabbit named Gritty, a raccoon named Apollo, a beaver named Byhalia, and a turtle named Rufus.

According to Ted Robledo, executive creative director of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, these critters highlight “the diverse and rich styles of New Orleans,” playing their renditions of beloved songs from The Princess and the Frog such as “Almost There,” “Dig a Little Deeper,” “Down in New Orleans,” and “Gonna Take You There.” These performances feature instruments crafted from natural materials found in the bayou. The critters also perform a song written exclusively for the attraction, “Special Spice,” showcasing the talents of Grammy winner PJ Morton, Blanchard, and Rose.

Hearing “Special Spice” performed in the attraction was “literally a dream come true,” said Morton. “It’s going to take some time for me to process this. Seeing it come full circle—because this was a two-, three-year process—and become real is totally surreal.”

“Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” is more than just a ride; it’s a celebration of Princess Tiana’s legacy. The attraction’s opening will be accompanied by various themed events and activities throughout the park, offering fans multiple ways to engage with Tiana’s story and celebrate her impact.

With its rich storytelling, immersive environments, and musical charm, “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” is set to become a favorite for Disney fans and newcomers alike.
